AutoAZ – Battery Deposit Fee Page (Germany only)

When selling batteries, a deposit fee of 7.5 EUR is charged in accordance with legal regulations. The return of used batteries is subject to legal and environmental requirements. Therefore, we recommend that batteries purchased from us but no longer in use be returned or handed in as follows:

1. Send the battery back to our logistics center at the following address:
   1097 Budapest, Timót utca 5.
   After the package has arrived and been identified, we will refund the deposit fee.

2. Hand in the battery at a workshop, store, central collection point, or recycling yard.
   Please note: At the latter two locations, the paid deposit of 7.5 EUR will not be refunded directly to you.
   You will receive a confirmation document, which you can send to us at cs@autoaz.de together with your name and order ID as a clear photo or scan.
   Once the identification has been successfully verified, we will refund the deposit fee.

How is the deposit refunded after successful identification and inspection?

The deposit will be refunded using the same payment method that you used for your purchase (bank transfer or PayPal credit).

What happens if the identification and inspection are negative?

You will receive a notification informing you that we are unable to refund the deposit.
The inspected product will be stored for 2 months – upon request, we can return it to you.
After 2 months of storage, the product will be properly disposed of in accordance with environmental regulations.
