- Fix the luggage compartment cover in open condition with some supports.

- Remove the gas spring.
- It is required to vent the new part:
- Push the rod into the cylinder until it stops
- Wait a few seconds and release it, so that it would return to its original position.
- Repeat this procedure 10 times
- Install the new part
- Check the proper operation of the new part
